Who we belong to
Here is the denomination we belong to and answer to.
New Hope Community Church is part of the World Olivet Assembly, a global denomination of evangelical churches and para-church organisations that exists for the advancement of world mission. It is organised through regional and national assemblies — in our case, the Olivet Assembly of Oceania.
That structure means our pastors are accountable to people outside this building, our teaching is held to a shared standard, and our finances and conduct are subject to the same standards.
It also means something for you. If you move away from Melbourne — and many in our congregation eventually do — there is very likely a church of the same family where you are going. You do not lose your church home when you change cities.
